Yes, as you know I loaded up on portraiture books the past few weeks!

The first one I cracked open was mostly about 15 children's photographers and they talk about how they do it. I'll share a summary when I finish it. :)

I have several books on portraiture, a few I read a long time ago and a few I still haven't read. I actually have a lot of photography and photoshop books I have bought in the last 6 months and haven't even picked up.......I guess I should get around to it eventually but I never seem to have the time LOL

Yeah, I'm curious about groups too, lol!

Since they can be public or private (invitation only), I thought if people wanted to do more sensitive photo topics or didn't feel comfortable posting their children, this might be a good idea. Or you could break away from the general forums to get really indepth about certain topics...

Also, my dream in the future, is to have mamas be able to hold "virtual workshops" here and earn money while working from home. This is very down the road though.

Anyway, I just bought 10 books on portraiture and will be reviewing them soon!

I've learned a lot about portraiture just from the two Scott Kelby "The Digital Photography Book" volumes. Although, I'm sure I can learn more reading some books specifically on portraiture.

BTW, I was curious how the groups worked too, so I'm glad that you posted to get us started =)

Just wondering what book(s) about portraiture have you learned the most from? Look good so far? I really want to get that book about a photojournalistic approach to child photography. Has anyone read it? If so, is it good?

(plus I wanted to see how it looks to post in this group ;))
