I'll be out of town in Wisconsin with family for a few weeks, but to spark my creativity and force me to take shots, I signed up for some more PPSOP classes:

Here's what I"m taking:

  • The Art of Seeing | http://ppsop.com/seee.aspx
  • Compelling Photographs "Must Know" Fundamentals of Composition | http://ppsop.com/comp.aspx
  • Electronic Flash - The "Mystery" Revealed | http://ppsop.com/efmr.aspx
  • The Evolution of a Masterpiece (Photoshop) | http://ppsop.com/evol.aspx

I know the basics of composition, but want to force myself to take some compelling shots and to "see" beauty more than I do in this busy busy world.

I signed up for the flash class as I need to learn how to use my speedlights and feel comfortable using them when needed but yet end up with beautiful photos that look like natural light, or at least not harsh flash light.

Taking the Photoshop class just to see what I can learn with a photography focus.

Also, one of my friends (actually Stacey's) has signed up too, and I'm going to ask her to join here as well!

Right on, Angela.  Did you get any good shots on your drive out there?  Flash is a mystery to me, I hate it, it is too heavy and I have this weird aversion to it.  Benjamin just shoves it in my hands and tells me to go, so if you can teach me anything I would love that!  Who signed up?  Allision?

Antonia did! She bought my D80 and lenses, and I gave her a mini-lesson on exposure, and just Wednesday talked to her and she said she was signing up for "Understanding Exposure" class! We might have another local photographer friend in the works. :)

I didn't take any shots on the drive out, as I just wanted to get here, but we've got lots of great opportunities to shoot throughout the week. Now, just hoping this rain goes away...
