Sunday I'm interviewing with Benjamin, and bringing my portfolio (how meager it is) to be an assistant for wedding photography. Thank you Stacey for setting me up! David thankfully is all supportive of this and I'm so psyched! It's for an assistant photographer (someday hopefully be a lead) and editing photos.
I know I said I would never do weddings, but I had a blast at my cousin's wedding in Carmel, California a few weeks ago, the photos turned out great!

Good luck!!
You don't need luck-he'll hire you in a second:) You are great!
Did I tell you I get to start being lead (doing my own weddings!) in Septemeber? Now, if I can only get to like the editing....Did I tell you I got fired from editing bc I take too long? I was actually happy. So now I just get to shoot with him, which is what I like anyways.
Anyways, don't be nervous. You know editing well, and that is what he needs right now, so it is a no brainer. Also, I have seen your work, and you are good, so he will be happy. And no doubt he will covet your d700 a bit:)
See you in a bit!

Great shoot today! Did you have fun?
Best wishes and good luck with your interview. The shots you've shared here are wonderful so I'm sure he'll be impressed. How exciting to be starting on a new adventure!

YES, I had fun on your shoot Stacey, and most importantly, next time I'll feel more confident.
And next time is...
TUESDAY! I am going with Benjamin on his shoot of a cheerleader team! I'm taking a mini-vacation this month, driving to see my parents in Wisconsin, so I might not get too many shoots in, but for October, I should get the first weddings under my belt.
How did it go? He told me about that shoot. Must have been fun! Did you get to take any photos?
Talked to you today, but it looks like we're going to do a wedding together on Saturday! I cannot wait!
Wedding was great! You are awesome! Who is doing the editing again? We'll have to post some when they are done. I got a great one of you shooting, did you end up getting one of me?
How fun!
How did the wedding go?
That wedding kind of sucked. It was at Copper Mt. The sun was waaaay too bright so the formal pics were not great. My camera was doing some weird focusing thing (it was actually the main photographer's camera, grrr, I should have brought mine). The couple also hired a man to set up a photo booth to GIVE AWAY photos to the guests, and there were three of us, so people got sick of having their picture taken. I don't want to talk about the huge blister on my toe from climbing up that damn mt so many times. And then we got pulled over on the way home. Not my best wedding, but Angela did great!
Give away photos? how, like they pose, you take picture and then they can take one home, carnie style? weird.
sorry about your toe. :(
