The end of march, I purchased a camera to replace the one lost/ stolen. at the time I was $100 short of total asking price. (was waiting for payment on some items I was selling) so he sent the body, cords, etc. but kept the lens to ensure final payment, which was fine with me and understandable. I received the first part of merchandise quickly UPS.

A few days after making first payment, I sent the final $100. April 4th. on April 9th he pm'ed me just got done moving and had photo shoot, was sending out the lens that day. I have heard nothing from him since then and still no lens  I have sent a few pm's through nikoncafe as well as emailing but no reply or merchandise.

I want to believe the best, but guess got a little spoiled with TBWs FSOT and stuff. lol

Notified Mod there. Just curious if you all think I should start paypal claim just to be safe. This is my first non- TBW transaction on a forum like this and I feel so out of my element.

They have a feedback board over there. Have you done a search for his username on there? Has he posted on the boards since the sale. Maybe wait for the Mod to get back to and then contact Paypal. Although if it was me and this much time had passed, I'd probably contact pp. Embarrassed

I have only listed stuff for sale over there. For buying I have stuch with B&H and KEH for used and have always been happy.

I really hope you can get this resolved smoothly & quickly with a happy solution.

I'd file a PP claim because you are getting close to the one month mark. If he sends you the lens, then you can end the claim, no muss, no fuss. If you wait too long, you won't be able to do anything. It's been three weeks.

I heard back from admin/ mod there. While they simpathize with the situation, it is a buyer/ seller situation. (which is fine, same as TBW) They want to be kept informed to the events and how it eventually ends. They will do what they can to maintain integrity of board. (same as TBW)

I sent another email to the seller. I think I will give it till this weekend and then file. Tongue Tied It has been so long since I have been in this situation, I forgot how frustrating it can be.

I am working with a zoom lens right now and it is just not working for pictures of the kids like my 18-55mm worked. UGH.. ok. Anyways.

Glad to hear you filed. =) I'm still hoping it shows up, but it will help resolve things and hopefully get you a lens, either this one or one to replace it.

Please keep us posted as to how it turns out.

Not so good up-date. There has been no reply to the paypal claim. So I have escalated to a claim which will end on the 14th. Makes me really sad. I am working with just a zoom 55-200 lens and miss the up close ability. I guess as soon as this ends, I will need to re-figure my lens options and figure out what to do about my missing focal length
