I'm envious of your Colorado mountains life. We were thisclose to moving to Denver, but the real estate costs stopped us. You do have live in some amazing scenery.

Is that one shot or a composite? (am i allowed to ask that?) Its really great either way! LOVE it! Looks like fun! I did not see one single firework this year.:( Glad I get to see others' shots of them at least.

I will learn it all this summer and hopefully once the technical stuff is a no-brainer, I can focus on just capturing the perfect poses and expressions! (I know nothing about posing yet though, another thing to learn, doh.)

I recently did a storyboard of tara similar to this! FUN!!!

and Satori is such a doll!!!!!!! I love every one of those expressions! I think you are doing so wonderful! Esp considering how difficult children are, let alone your own children! You are just doing fantastic! I envy you!

I love the rest of your post! I have to say, much of what you said is exactly how I feel, except I am in the studio with teens or adults--and its almost as frustrating! I cannot imagine with children! :) But on the plus side, their cute, different expressions are really wonderful to capture. (where as with adults--not so much so. LOL) I think metering all the lights in the studio was my most difficult part--getting ratios correct. Now its just posing that is frustrating me to no end.
